Bianca Matheson

Bianca has practised physiotherapy in Whistler for over 25 years. She holds Australian Physiotherapy Association titles in both sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), and practises Gunn IMS dry needling. Her main areas of focus are complex neck and back problems and sports injuries, and she has since added concussion and vestibular rehabilitation, with a certificate in vestibular rehabilitation from the American Institute of Balance and training in concussion management.

Her clinical practice combines evidence-based manual therapy, IMS and movement retraining through therapeutic exercise. She works closely with physicians and surgeons on rehabilitation, and her approach is to involve you actively in your treatment and give you the information and skills to help yourself.

Bianca's sport work runs from the Australian Institute of Sport and the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia to Alpine Canada ski cross and Canadian Sport Centre Pacific, with team physiotherapist roles at four Olympic Games and many World Cups, X Games and World Championships. Off duty she is a keen participant in sports salty and snowy.
