## About

Mike completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria, then studied physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, where he completed master’s degrees in Physiotherapy Studies (2005), Manipulative Physiotherapy (2007) and Sports Physiotherapy (2009). He holds Australian Physiotherapy Association titles in sport and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), and in 2013 became a Certified Hand Therapist (Hand Therapy Certification Commission), a credential in the rehabilitation of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder girdle.

Mike treats a varied case load of musculoskeletal injuries, including sport and orthopaedic conditions, in the clinic and on the road with sporting teams. His areas of interest are injury prevention, concussion and vestibular rehabilitation (with training through Complete Concussion Management courses), sports and spinal injuries, hand therapy, exercise rehabilitation and strength and conditioning, and he practises Gunn IMS dry needling.

He has worked and travelled with teams in Canada and Australia, including twelve years with the Canada Ski Cross Team and four Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games: the Whistler Polyclinic at Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014 with the Canada Para Snowboard Cross Team, and PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022 with the ski cross team. Mike has competed nationally in tennis, played competitive volleyball, basketball, soccer and ultimate, and regularly mountain bikes, surfs, snowboards and skis.
