ames graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. After graduating, James worked in a busy musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy clinic where he assisted elite athletes and workers with their rehabilitation.
James moved to Whistler in 2014 to pursue his interest in sport physiotherapy and has since been working with the team at Back in Action. James has continued to develop his skills and expand his treatment tool-box by completing numerous courses in musculoskeletal and sport physiotherapy, functional dry needling and concussion management. He has a strong interest in rehabilitation of spinal and sport injuries, including those about the knee, ankle and shoulder.
James employs a variety of treatment methods based on the latest evidence and tailored to the individual to assist clients achieve the speediest recovery. He utilizes a strong hands-on treatment approach incorporating massage, functional dry needling, joint mobilization, joint manipulation and exercise.
Due to James’ expertise, he is currently working and travelling with Freestyle Canada’s national half-pipe ski team. He has also worked with national athletes from various sports including Canada Snowboard, Alpine Skiing, Freestyle Canada and Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton.
When not working, James can be found snowboarding, mountain biking or on the golf course.
