Maja Duncan is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and part of the Back in Action team. Maja utilizes her knowledge in therapeutic massage to restore the body to it’s optimal functioning. She also draws on her education as a Certified Strength and Condition Coach (CSCS) to complement a holistic approach to the body
Graduating from Vancouver College of Massage therapy she has been trained with an orthopedic approach to massage. While orthopedic techniques make up a large component to training, she also incorporate relaxation techniques. Intensive techniques such as Trigger Point Therapy, Joint Mobilizations, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy may be combined with Swedish massage, deep breathing or ROOD’S techniques which tap primarily into the nervous system.
Interests are in managing postural dysfunction, treating repetitive use injuries, sports related injuries, surgical recovery, peripheral nerve compressions and other neuromuscular conditions.
Maja is an empathetic listener, dedicated to helping you recover and an advocate for preventative therapy in hands on care along with providing education and homecare.
Clients can expect to get her dedicated attention and positive attitude to assist them in their short term and long term goals.
